FROM MAINTENANCE TO GOOD TASTE

The chimney is for expelling exhaust air or flue gases (for example from a boiler house) into the lower reaches of the atmosphere. According to the Technical Rules for clean air (TA Luft 1986), the more pollutants emitted, the higher the chimney must be built.

Some industrial chimneys reach a height of 300 metres. In order to reduce the detrimental effects of the exhaust in the immediate vicinity, the amount or the pollutant effect and the distribution (spread) of the exhaust gases in the atmosphere can be altered for example by flue gas scrubbing or filtration.

Taking into account all emission regulations, regular maintenance intervals must also be respected for existing chimneys. Apart from emission regulations, the DIN 4133 corrosion inspections play a decisive role in the operation of steel chimneys. Niessing has trained specialists who are authorised to inspect chimneys for their safety condition. The same applies for meaningful frequency measurement to check on noise development and if necessary to institute any corrective measures. Contact us if you are interested in receiving a concrete quotation.
